Keith D. Altic, age 91 of Covington, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Ohio Hospice of Miami County, Troy, Keith was born in Potsdam, Ohio on January 1, 1933 to the (late) Burgess & Elizabeth (Kauffman) Altic; a graduate of West Milton High School, Class of 1953; retired from Hobart Corporation with 33 years of service; had previously worked at WACO, Troy; was the very first member of the Covington Eagles Aerie #3998, he also mowed the farm - campground and his family had used the grounds for many family reunions, graduations, and parties; he loved playing Euchre at the Eagles with his buddies; he loved going fishing, smoking his cigars; eating his cherry tootsie roll pops; but most of all he loved his dogs, Jake and Buster. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 55 years, Patty Lou Altic, who passed away in 2023; his son, Brent Altic; his daughter and son-in-law, Nanette and Chuck Gibson; and his brother, Donald Altic. Keith is survived by his three children, Greg Altic & Cindy Brubaker of Troy, Doug & Jill Meyer of Piqua, and Kelley & Randy Hesson of Troy; “adopted daughter”, Joy Eyler of Covington; nine grandchildren, Brooke (Cory) Smith of Troy, Tony (Tricia) Altic of NC, Brian (Sheri) Altic of FL, Steve (Jennifer) Altic of Beavercreek, Jared (Kelly) Altic of TX, Lindsay (Ron) Fraley of Covington, Matt (Danielle) Meyer of Pleasant Hill, Andrew (Stephanie) Meyer of Covington, and Aaron (Alex) Hesson of Venice, FL; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter on the way; his companion, his dog, Buster; other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Service 2:00 PM Friday at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Don Solin officiating. Visitation 12 Noon until time of service.
