Marlene Seger Obituary

Marlene Elizabeth Seger, age 82 of Covington, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Story Point in Troy.  Marlene was born in Ft. Loramie on January 9, 1940 to the (late) Norbert & Anna Catherine (Larger) DeLoye; attended Ft. Loramie Schools; a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Covington; enjoyed gardening, both vegetables and flowers; enjoyed crafts, including crocheting, Needlepoint, and cross-stitch; loved humming birds and cardinals; and enjoyed watching the deer at her house.  Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 53 years, Raymond H. Seger in 2010; grandson, Joey Seger; step-mother, Clara Meyer DeLoye; three brothers, Richard M. DeLoye, Edward DeLoye, and Joe DeLoye; sister-in-law, Joan Howick.  Marlene is survived by her children, Anna & Gene Cox of Troy, Patricia & Charles Smith of Beavercreek, Mark Seger of Pleasant Hill, Gary Seger of Covington, Ronald & Laura Seger of Pleasant Hill, Rita & Phillip Dernbach of Ludlow Falls, Donald Seger of Covington, and Theodore & Tabby Seger of New Paris; 11 grandchildren, Aretha & Shawn Morrison, Olivia McGill, Andrew Smith, Latisha Seger, Matthew Seger, Brian Seger & fiancée, Veronica Blum, Bradley & Amy Seger, Michele & Daniel Oman, D.J. Seger & fiancée, Danielle Griffith, Trenton Seger, and Thomas Stevens; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; step-brother, George Howick of Bowling Green, OH, half-brother, Larry & Donna DeLoye of Ft. Loramie; half-sister, Jeanette Cooper of Blacksburg, VA; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Monday at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Covington with Father Eugene Vonderhaar officiating.  Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington.  Visitation 2-6 PM Sunday at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Day City Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.,
