Martha A. Rhoades

Martha A. Rhoades, age 89 of Covington, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Ohio Hospice of Miami County, Troy.  Martha was born in Piqua on December 17, 1935 to the (late) Earl & Martha Irene (Goings) Eichelberger; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1954; retired from Stanley, Covington with 26 years of service; previously worked for 15 years at Atlas, Piqua; in her younger years she enjoyed doing crafts; a wonderful crocheter that made beautiful afghans; enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and going out to eat with her friends. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, James L. Rhoades is 1984; son, Robert Anthony “Tony” Rhoades in 2019; and her siblings, Janet Gilbert, Roberta Fricke, Thomas Eichelberger, Robert Eichelberger, and Ronald Eichelberger.  Martha is survived by her two grandchildren, Kimberly Rhoades and Lawrence Anthony Rhoades; two great-grandchildren, Dyan and Victoria; sister-in-law, Phyllis Eichelberger; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.  Graveside Service and Interment 11:00 AM Wednesday at Highland Cemetery, Covington.
