Mary Alice Yount

Mary Alice Yount, age 85 of Bradford, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at her home.  Mary Alice was born in Ansonia on November 4, 1936 to the (late) Roy & Vera (Reck) Yohey; retired from FRAM with 42 years of service; a member of the Bradford Church of the Nazarene; a member of the Bradford Area Association of Churches, which included her working with the Community Resource Bank; a member of the Bradford Lion’s Club; volunteered at the Bradford schools for many years; earlier years she helped run the concession stand at Bradford school sports and rec leagues; Honorary Member of the Bradford National Honor Society; worked the voting poles in Bradford; was Grand Marshal of the School Parade during the Pumpkin Show of 2021; enjoyed crocheting, playing cards; and baking apple dumplings.  Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 34 years, Dale J. Yount in 1992; son, Robert Yount; brothers, Edward Yohey and Tom Yohey; sisters-in-law, Dianna Yohey and Norma Yohey; brother-in-law, John Reineke; brothers-in-law, Jim Broughman and Robert Yount; sister-in-law, Naomi Bemis..  Mary Alice is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda & Terry Mead of Bradford; two grandchildren and their spouses, Terisa & Randy Shaffer, Joel & Nicki Mead; five great-grandchildren, Jayde & husband, Craig Wyan, Wyatt Spangler, Raegen Shaffer, Isac Thomason & Jade, and Hayden Mead; two great-great-grandchildren, Baylor Wyan and Kinsley Thomason; siblings, William Yohey of Piqua, Linda Reineke of Piqua, Robert & Gloria Yohey of Celina, Paul & Beverly Yohey of Covington, Naomi & Larry Yount of Gettysburg, DeWayne Yohey of Bradford; sister-in-law, Janice Yohey of Covington; brother-in-law, Don Bemis; sister-in-law, Lil Broughman; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Funeral Service 11:00 AM Wednesday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Louis Reindel officiating.  Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington.  Visitation 4-8 PM Tuesday and again 10:00 AM Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County or Bradford Elementary Schools.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
