Norma Jean Snyder

Norma Jean Snyder, age 96, of Covington, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023 at Brookdale of Greenville.  Norma was born in Miami County on December 3, 1927 to the (late) Eugene Godown & Hazel (Divens) Godown Reichman; a graduate of Covington High School, where she also played in the marching band; a member of Greenville Creek Christian Church, where she also sang in the choir; enjoyed playing her organ at home; watching game shows and sports on TV; spending time with her card club; fishing and mushroom hunting, vegetable and fruit gardening; playing golf; attended all sporting events, watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Roscoe Reichman; husband, James “Jim” Snyder in 2002; daughter, Linda Sue Snyder; two sons, Dale Snyder and Paul Snyder; twin grandsons, Ronnie & Lonnie Colbert; and her dog, Willie. Norma is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rita & Larry Crosby of Bradford; three grandchildren, Susan & husband, Brock Blackburn of Bradford, Diane & husband, Tim Kramer of Laura, Jammie & Courtney Colbert of Troy; eight great-grandchildren, Derrick Colbert and Justin Colbert, both of Greenville, Alaina Blackburn and Jacob Blackburn, both of Bradford, Austin Painter of Piqua, Donovan Painter of Greenville, Jackson Colbert and Avery Colbert, both of Troy; two great-great grandchildren, Paislee Colbert and Carter Colbert, both of Greenville; a great-great-granddaughter on the way; and many friends.  Funeral Service 12 Noon Saturday, December 30th at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Daryl Peeples officiating.  Interment Highland Cemetery, Covington.  Visitation 10:00 AM Saturday until time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Greenville Creek Christian Church.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
