Norman Lowell Slade, age 80 of Piqua, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Stillwater Nursing Facility, Covington. Norman was born in Piqua on August 29, 1943 to the (late) Dale Robert & Dorothy Rhea (Lacey) Slade; was an U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War; retired with 50+ years from General Films, Covington; attended Piqua Baptist Church; loved antique engines and tractors and drove his tractors in many parades; was a “DIY – Master Tinkerer – Handyman”. Preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly & Mel Eisaman. Norman is survived by his wife of 39 years, Paula Suzette Slade; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony Allen & Chandra Slade of Piqua; adopted daughter, Paula Suzanne Adams of Sidney; two step-sons, Jason Brunson of Piqua, Daniel & wife, Sherry Brunson of New Carlisle; nine grandchildren; brother, Larry Slade of Sacramento, CA; two sisters, Dorothy Hardwick of Dayton and Marilyn Johnson of Arkansas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gathering of Family and Friends Friday, January 5th, 2-4:30 PM at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with a Memorial Service to follow at 4:30 PM at the funeral home.
