Pamela "Pam" Sue Barton

Pamela “Pam” Sue Barton, age 68 of Covington, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.  Pam was born in Dayton on June 23, 1956 to the (late) Jerome “Jerry” & Janet (Pepple) Zimmer; retired as a Coater with Projects Unlimited, Vandalia with 12 years of service and had worked at McDonalds for 20+ years; was an avid reader; enjoyed doing crossword puzzles; and most important was her family.  Preceded in death by her parents; late husband, Michael Richard in 2009; two daughters, April Dawn Richard and Veronica Ann Richard; and brother, Mike Zimmer.  Pam is survived by her husband of 12 years, Rick Barton; her children and their spouses, Mike & Jamie Richard of Piqua, Bobby & Anne Richard of Jamestown, OH, Susie & John Pierce of Redkey, IN, Jason & Lindsey Richard of Piqua, Jessica & Jeremy Faught of Covington; her step-children and their spouses, Belinda & David Hunter, Teresa & Kenneth Spurlock; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Chris & Cheryl Zimmer, Steve & Billie Jo “Coco” Zimmer; her grandchildren, Brittany, Sara, Tiffany, Lauren, Emma, Devin, Dylan, Derek, Johnathan, Christian, Courtney, Aiden, Gus, Claire, Brendan, Cameron and Aubree; step-grandchildren, Stormy, Chellie, Makayla and Chris; many great-grandchildren; her cat, Willow; her two dogs, Winston and Mitsy; and her bird, Froggie; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Prayer Service 1:00 PM Monday at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Father Jim Duell officiating.  Interment Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford.  Visitation 11:00 AM Monday until time of service.
