Patricia “Pat” L. Hoover, age 92 of Bradford, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville. Pat was born in Dayton on February 1, 1932 to the (late) Frank Early & Gladys (Zimmerman) Brower; was a graduate of Milton-Union High School, Class of 1950; attended two years of college at Manchester College, Indiana; was a Sales Clerk at Brower Stationers, Troy for 50+ years; a member of the Harris Creek Church of the Brethren, Bradford; she supported the Heifer International; was a trustee and very involved in her earlier years with the Bradford Public Library; she enjoyed playing cards and board games; she also enjoyed the Brethren Retirement Community where she worked in the gift shop and the library; she was an avid reader and she listed every book she read along with rating it. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 43 years, Galen Edward Hoover in 1996; and sister, Rosemary Renner. Pat is survived by her children, Wayne & Shari Hoover of West Alexandria, OH, Karen Hoover of Dalzell, SC, and Larry & Debbie Hoover of Clarksville, IN; six grandchildren, Kathryn Hoover, Jacob & wife, Mariel Hoover, Jonathan Hoover, Erin and her husband, Skyler Bready, David Hoover, and Chris Hoover & his fiancée, Kavya Tiwari; great-grandson, Erik Hoover; brother and sister-in-law, Frank & Louise Brower of Troy; brother-in-law, Leon Renner of Kerrville, TX; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service 2:00 PM Friday, February 23rd at the Brethren Retirement Community Chapel with Chaplain Todd Reish officiating. Interment Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford. Visitation 12:00 Noon Friday until time of service at the BRC Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Heifer International or BRC – Resident Aid Fund.
