Ralph Gerald “Jerry” Caldwell, age 91 of Bradford, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025 at his home. Jerry was born in Miami County on July 22, 1933 to the (late) Ralph B. & Loa Faye (King) Caldwell; was a graduate of Newton High School, Class of 1951 and attended engineering classes at Edison College; retired with 20+ years from Dawlen in Michigan as a Plant Manager and many other roles; had also worked at B.F. Goodrich and was an Independent Contractor Driver for UPS; a NC Programmer; a member of Mensa Society and also Wolfe Lake Yacht Club; he was an expert at the game, Minesweeper; enjoyed doing Sudoku puzzles; loved and collected John Deere tractors and lawnmowers; loved going to auctions; avid golfer and was considered a Master Tinkerer. Preceded in death by his parents; wife of 45 years, Mabel Zenith Caldwell in 2019; son, Charles Smith; daughter, Pamela Woolery; grandson, Dan Long; and sister, Nadine Lavey. Jerry is survived by his children, Patsy & Tom Muter of Piqua, Penny Smith of Bradford; grandchildren, Holly & Paul Ricci, Rhonda & Alan Knoop, Mollie & Jason Richeson, Siobhan & Drew Durand, Todd Woolery, Roxanna Woolery, Jessiah Woolery & Ebony Woolery; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Patty Stager, Lois Jane Caldwell, Sally & Marvin Adams and Sam & Darlene Caldwell; daughter-in-law, Pam Smith of Troy; son-in-law, Jerome Maynard of Georgia; true and trusted friends, John & Pam Hitchcock; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 2:00 PM Wednesday at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with John Hitchcock and Pastor Curtis Enis officiating. Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington with Military Honors provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation 12 Noon Wednesday until time of service.
