Randie Jo Shively, age 69 of Nacogdoches, Texas, formerly of Covington, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023 at the Nacogdoches Medical Center. Randie was born in Troy on May 31, 1954 to the (late) Fred & Mary (Dysinger) Shively; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1972; retired with 18 years of service from AO Smith, Tipp City; retired with 17 years of service from the Covington Fire & Rescue; a member of the Covington Eagles Aerie #3998, the VFW Post #4235, Covington, and the AMVETS Post #66, Covington; was an avid NASCAR fan with his favorite driver being Bill Elliott. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cheyenne Shively-Addesso; brother, Steve Shively; nephew, Jason Shively; in-laws, Charles & Helen Balmert; and ex-wife, Kathleen Shively. Randie is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jeanne (Balmert) Shively; daughter and son-in-law, Shawnee Shively & Mark Snider of St. Paris; grandchildren, Cherokee Shively and Dakota Powell; step-daughter, Ann Burnside Youngblood of Nacogdoches, TX and her daughter, Rachael Chapman of Vidor, TX and grandchildren, Kaden, Jac & Sally Ann Chapman; step-daughter, Lora Mason of Diboll, TX and her son, Dillon Mason of Diboll, TX and her grandson, Kyle Mason; five siblings, Scott & Deb Shively of Carmel, IN, twins, Tim & Karen Shively of Wadsworth, OH and Jeff & Deb Shively of Covington, Linda & Scott Good of Covington, and Jim & Mel Shively of Piqua; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
