Robert “Bob” E. Cain, age 89 of Covington, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. Bob was born in Miami County on July 9, 1936 to the (late) Floyd E. & Theresa G. (O’Brien) Cain; was a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1954; retired with 18 years of service as a Group Leader for Hartzell Propeller, Piqua; had previously worked for Dick’s Sinclair Service Station, Covington; past member of Covington Presbyterian Church and now a member at Bradford Presbyterian Church; a member and Past Master of F & AM Lodge #543; enjoyed collecting milk bottles and Bradford Memorabilia. Preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Reva Cain; two other sisters, Barbara Jane Long and Treva Fieste; and two brothers, Ricky Cain and Charles Cain. Bob is survived by his wife of 70 years, Joan M. (Hales) Cain; daughter, Tracy Lincoln of Piqua; son and daughter-in-law, Steven & Jeanine Cain of Troy; four grandchildren, Nicholas & Jessica Cain, Brandon & Chelsey Cain, Chelsea and Scotty Rhinehart, and Ellen Cain; two great-grandchildren, Emmlee and Jacob; two sisters, Cheryl Moore of Laura and Joann Taxis of Conover; two brother and sister-in-law, Jack & Karen Cain of Bradford and Floyd Cain Jr of Laura; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 12 Noon Tuesday, December 23rd at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Mike Buker officiating. Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM Tuesday until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Covington Fire & Rescue.
