Robert "Bob" Edward Mutzner

Robert “Bob” Edward Mutzner, age 89 of Covington, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at his home.  Bob was born in Covington on March 7, 1932 to the (late) Ozell & Mary (Grubb) Mutzner; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1950; a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War; retired from Sellmans Furniture, Covington as the foreman of the warehouse; a member of the Covington Church of the Brethren; a member of the American Legion AB Cole Post #80, Covington; member of the NRA; an avid golfer; was always fixing something – a “master tinkerer” and enjoyed family gatherings and playing games.  Preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Parker Daniel Mutzner and Ross Donnelly; and two sisters, Margaret Jean Owen and Betty Mertz.  Bob is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dolores J. (Ketrow) Mutzner; his four children, Daniel & Tami Mutzner of Englewood, Kenneth Mutzner of Logan, OH, Nancy Spence of Anna, OH and Benjamin & Julie Mutzner of Covington; “adopted” children, Brian Swinehart of Covington and Kristen Swinehart of Florida; son-in-law, Steve Spence; eight grandchildren, Maci Mutzner, Joshua & Carrisa Mutzner, Mathew Mutzner & Taylor Chufar, Betsy & Kevin Hammergren, Morgan Spence & Ted Gautier, Chloe Spence, Taylor Spence, and Emma Donnelly; two great-grandchildren, Kolton Hammergren and Jace Robert Hammergren; other relatives and friends. Bob loved and enjoyed spending time with all his family and friends.    Funeral Service 11:00 AM Saturday, December 11th, at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Mike Yingst officiating.  Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington with Military Honors provided by the Veteran Elite Tribute Squad.  Visitation will be 10 AM Saturday until time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Covington Church of the Brethren or Ohio Hospice of Miami County.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
