Ronald Leroy Selanders

Ronald Leroy Selanders, age 83 of Covington, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025 at Ohio Hospice of Miami County.  Ronnie was born in Miami County on January 13, 1942 to the (late) Leroy & Florence (Wagner) Selanders; retired from Copperweld, Piqua; had previously worked for Decker’s Meat, Piqua for 20 years; was a lifelong farmer, raising cattle and sheep; enjoyed working outside and bailing hay.  Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 64 years, Judith Arlen Selanders on July 17, 2025; and seven siblings, Margaret Stephan, Lucille Davis, Robert Selanders, Lester Selanders, Bernard Selanders, Eddie Selanders and Shirley Selanders.  Ronnie is survived by his two children, Carolyn Sue & Doug Fosnight of Piqua and Ron & Janeen Selanders of Covington; five grandchildren, Sara & Daryl Patrie, Brian & Robin Barhorst, Christopher Molina & fiancée, Miriam Matoe, Brooke & Brock Smith and Devan Selanders; five great-grandchildren, Henry and Nora Patrie, Bentley Barhorst, Brody and Briella Smith; two great-granddogs, Luna and Sukie; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Procession will line up Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington and go for a Graveside Service at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio Hospice of Miami County.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
