Sarah Faye (Eidemiller) Gudorf

Sarah Faye (Eidemiller) Gudorf, 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home after a short-term illness.

She was born August 3, 1947, at her home in Houston, Ohio, as the daughter of Ira Wayne and Grace (Ewing) Eidemiller.  She married Thomas Gudorf on October 28, 1968, at St. Augustine Church in Minster, Ohio.

 Sarah was a homemaker for the majority of her life, but briefly worked at Fair Haven in Sidney, Ohio, for six years.  She loved all of her colleagues and the residents she took care of were like family to her.  For over 15 years, she rode on the back of her Goldwing with her husband, Tom, and friends, Bob and Darlene Lore.  Sarah adored all things crafting and would sell her crafts alongside her friends, Tammy and Mike Smith.  Her lifetime friend, Darlene Moorman, were friends since school and are now both sitting in heaven and catching up.

She is survived by three children, Virginia (Kyle) Slade of Covington, Ohio, Elizabeth (Will Wilson) Gudorf of Archie, Missouri, Vernon (Jamie) Gudorf of Houston, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Gabryonna Hunt of Bellevue, Nebraska, Samantha (Caleb) Withrow of Jackson Center, Ohio, Tucker (Lucinda) Wolaver of Silverdale, Washington, Dawson Slade of Covington, Ohio, Jordan Meddock of Hohenfels, Germany, Graceanne (Kyle Lampely) Slade of Covington, Ohio, Mikayla (Christian) Jenkins of Houston, Ohio, Kil (Sissi) Bonilla of Bellevue, Nebraska; a great-grandchild, Caden Withrow of Jackson Center, Ohio; and her brother, Raye (Mary) Eidemiller of Houston, Ohio.

Sarah’s family will be holding a private funeral service in her remembrance.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name for her beloved dog, Maggie, to Our Farm Sanctuary, 6495 Agenbroad Road, Tipp City, OH 45371; (937)506-0696.
