Sarah I. Bashore

Sarah I. Bashore, age 99, of Covington, Ohio passed away on October 10, 2024 at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County.  She was born on December 20, 1924 in Miami County, Ohio to the late John Henry Smith and Barbara Ellen (Finfrock) Smith Veit.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Victoria Bashore of Covington; Karen (Willard James) Gilley of Dayton and Kim Bashore of Dayton and granddaughter: Kendel Bashore of Dayton.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Victor L. Bashore and siblings: Martha, James, John, Ruby, Elizabeth and Willard.

Sarah was a member of the First Brethren Church, Pleasant Hill. She loved cooking and baking and was formerly employed with the Spot Restaurant in Piqua and Golden Corral and Bob Evans Restaurants in Troy.

Service will be held 1:00PM on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Bridges-Stocker- Fraley Funeral Home in Covington with interment to follow in Miami Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00PM-1:00PM on Tuesday.  Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
