Scott D. Marker, age 67 of Covington, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at his home. Scott was born in Piqua on July 31, 1954 to the (late) Herman & Norma Lee (Rudy) Marker; was a graduate of Newton High School, Class of 1972; a graduate of Hobart Welding Institute, Troy; retired with 45 years of service as a Welder from Local #190 Gas Distribution, Michigan and Local #577 Plumbers & Steam Fitters, Portsmouth, OH; Scott was an elite welder – the best there was; a member of the F&AM, Gettysburg Lodge #477, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason; and a member of the Covington Eagles Aerie #3998. Scott is survived by his wife of 24 years, Elizabeth (Chafins) Marker; his children, Kellie & Rusty Wackler of Pleasant Hill, Fran & Mike Walker of Troy, Amy & Todd Smith of Piqua; eight grandchildren, Travis Smith, Layla Wackler, Julian Wackler, Scott Preston Wackler, Wyatt Wackler, Mykohl (Sydney) Walker, Olyvia Walker, and Lincoln Walker; sister and brother-in-law, Bonita & Vaughn Barton of Pleasant Hill; two brothers, Steven Marker of Ludlow Falls and Timothy Marker of Pleasant Hill; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and truly “Scott’s Cat”, Stretch. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Friday, March 25th at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington. Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington. Visitation 5-8 PM Thursday, March 24th at the funeral home with a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:30 PM. Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
