Sharrel Christine Sellman, age 76 of Centerville, Ohio, formerly of Covington, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the Springfield Masonic Community, where she had recently relocated. Sharrel was born on September 12, 1949, in Piqua, Ohio; to the (late) Thelma (Houston) & Harold Richmond. She married George Robert (Bob) Sellman, Jr. on February 21, 1970. He was her knight in shining armor, her Sir Robert, and preceded her in death on November 20, 2009.
Sharrel will be dearly missed by her children, daughter Thelma Christine Sellman of Centerville, and George Robert (Bobby) III and wife, Amy Wendling Sellman of Powell, Ohio; as well as her sister-in-law, Jane (David) Hoffman of Troy; six nieces and three nephews.
Sharrel was also preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings: Kenneth Eugene Richmond, Ronald Evan Richmond, Karon Joan Delcamp, Jacqueline Marie Haney, Janet Diann Eagleston, Pamela Elaine Overson, and Robin Beth Magoteaux, as well as two nephews and a niece.
Sharrel was a graduate of Miami East High School; worked for Grismer Tire for years but spent the majority of her professional life supporting her husband’s family business, Sellman’s Furniture Store, Covington. Sharrel was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Covington, and continued to receive and read their monthly newsletter after moving to Centerville. She long held a love for reading, and in recent years, enjoyed listening to audio books. She was a skilled bridge player and spent many evenings playing and laughing with her bridge club in Covington. She was also an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and enjoyed watching and talking about the games with her children.
