Shawn Matthew Hayden, age 43 of Dayton, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024 at his home. Shawn was born in Dayton on November 26, 1981 to Bryan Hayden and Donna (Wills) Lefeld; was a graduate of Miamisburg High School, Class of 1999; worked for 18 years as a plumber with Hayden’s Plumbing Service; was considered a “Master Tinkerer” from a very early age – he loved to tear things apart and then fix them, and build things; enjoyed deer hunting; an he was an avid “the biggest” fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. Preceded in death by his grandmothers, Sarah Wills and Betty Hayden; uncle, Dirk Wills; and cousin, Danielle Hayden. Shawn is survived by his mother and step-father, Donna & Mike Lefeld of Dayton; father, Bryan Hayden of Enon, OH; five children, Matthew Hayden, Elaina Hayden, Aaron Hayden, Alexis Hayden, and Brooklyn Hayden; two grandchildren, Warren Scott Hayden and Sage Hayden; brother, Keith Hayden of Dayton; grandfathers, Jerry Hayden & wife, Sandy of Bellbrook and James Wills of Centerville; aunts and uncles, Joy Porter, Jody and husband, Chris Grimmee, Kevin and wife, Michelle Hayden, and Debbie Pittman; other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 2:00 PM Thursday at Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor John Manley officiating. Interment Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg. Visitation 1:00 PM Thursday until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio Hospice of Dayton.
