Sue Ann Reck, age 84 of Bradford, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. Sue was born in Piqua on May 1, 1940 to the (late) George & Judy (Garrison) Rudy; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1958; avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals; enjoyed going to Seniors Alive; loved cross stitching, reading book and magazines, and singing; loved storms, trees, and big birds; also loved looking at crops and ordering things on Amazon; her favorite word was JOY (Jesus, Others, and Yourself). Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 63 years, Robert “Bob” J. Reck in 2021; son, Robert Eric “Rick” Reck and grandson, Ceddrick Reck. Sue is survived by her four children, Robin Reck of Troy, Gretchen & Joe Schmidt of Covington, Philip & Michelle Reck of Bradford, and Alex & Renee Reck of Bradford; daughter-in-law, Jill Reck of Covington; 15 grandchildren, Mitch & Rose Schmidt, Cory “Boomer” Schmidt, Jillian Aselege-Stathem & husband, Cody, Josh & Ashley Reck, Elijah “Mutt” & Kaitlyn Reck, Sam Reck & Julie Landers, Brady & Kate Reck, Erica & Brian McCartney, Zach Reck, Zoe & Robert Kemer, Xanna & Dustin Feight, Warrick Reck, Ellery Reck, Nigella Reck, Mazelle Reck; 18 great-grandchildren, Cedar, Lucy, Chloe, Annabella, Wrinley Sue, Harper, Hudson, Eva, Bennett, Sutton, Crew, Bridger, Evelyn, Xander, Zeke, Cameron, twins, Ross & Ricki; brother, Joe Rudy of Lima; two sisters, Jeanie & husband, Bill Bitner of Covington, Sally Rudy of Lima; caregiver and friend, Sherry Wackler; other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 9:30 AM Saturday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor John Shelton officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Covington. Visitation 4-7 PM Friday at the funeral home.
