Teresa "Tess" A. Staley

Teresa “Tess” A. Staley, age 65 of Covington, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Ohio Hospice of Miami County, Troy.  Tess was born in Troy on October 2, 1960 to the (late) Martin Black & Judith (Neves) Black; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1978; had previously worked for Springhill Nursery and Allen-A in Piqua; and was a member of the Covington Eagles Aerie #3998.  She was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals; enjoyed playing games on the computer, loved watching WWE wrestling; but most of all, she loved spending as much time as possible with her granddaughters.  Preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Paul Finfrock and Rich Maschino; and nephew, Patrick James.  Tess is survived by her children, Ridge Staley of Covington, Brittney Staley and fiancé, Josh Rudy of Piqua; two granddaughters, Amiyah Staley and McKenna Nichols; five siblings, Sheila Black of Troy, Vicki & Garry Wackler of Covington, Scott & Kathy Black of Piqua, Pat & Doug James of Covington, Tina Maschino of Bradford; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Graveside service 11:00 AM Friday at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington.  Condolences may be shared with the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
