Thomas "Tom" Moore Obituary

Thomas “Tom” O. Moore, age 82 of Bradford, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 at The Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville.  Tom was born in Bradford on August 27, 1942 to the (late) Robert T. & Norma (Monnin) Moore; was a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1960 and a graduate of Hobart Welding School; retired with 30 years of service from General Motors as a Maintenance Welder; a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and had served many times on council, Bradford; a member of the Covington and Versailles Eagles; a member of the Jaycees; a volunteer with Bradford Fire & Rescue for several years; had served on the Bradford Public Library Board and the Bradford Village Council; and a former little league coach.  Tom loved reading, gardening, bicycling, and loved his grandchildren and great-granddaughter more than anything.  Preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Sue (Frost) Moore in 2023; sisters, Mary Goings and Ann McGlinch; and brother-in-law, Steve Smith.  Tom is survived by his three children, Cara Smith of Bradford, Connie & Rob Shoenfelt of Sidney, and Michael & Jenny Moore of Bradford; five grandchildren, Joseph Bishop of Columbus, Cassie (Alycia Washington) Bishop of New Haven, CT, Amy & Evan Freer of Columbus, Kelly Moore of Columbus, and Jackson Moore of Columbus; great-granddaughter, Eleanor Freer; special friends, Jim & Denise Sargent; siblings, Margaret “Peg” & Dewaine “Pepsi” Minnich of Arcanum, Joe & Kim Moore of Troy, Missy Smith of Troy, Kathy Carine of Tipp City, Sally Anderson of Kernersville, NC, and Jean & Mark Karnehm of Bradford; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bradford with Father Jim Duell celebrating.  Interment Greenville Creek Cemetery, Bradford.  Visitation 4-7 PM Tuesday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bradford Fire & Rescue.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
