Woneda M. Weaver

Woneda M. Weaver, age 88 of Covington, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at her home.  Woneda was born in Troy on April 13, 1933 to the (late) Harry Cleo & Ethel (Thompson) North; previously worked at Covington Eagles Aerie #3998, where she was a charter member; she had also worked at Highway Inn, Covington and Weldy’s Dairy, Bradford; past member of the Covington VFW Post# 4235 and Covington AMVETS Post# 66; she was a terrific baker, especially her apple pies; loved to crochet and go fishing; she enjoyed reading, and in her younger days, playing badminton.  Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Irvin Forest Weaver in 1991; granddaughter, Crystal Hittle; and brother, Cleo North.  Woneda is survived by her five daughters and sons-in-law, Martha & Dallas Weldy of Bradford, Tonya & John Schirtzinger of Hilliard, OH, Cindy & Archie Carey of Sidney, Candy Wion of Greenville, and Lonnie & Eric Reed of  Covington; 11 grandchildren, Tabatha & Cully Canan, Bud Weldy & fiancée, Megan Crone, Buffie & Jake Fashner, Billie Cheeseman Schirtzinger, Bridget Hittle, Terri & Jeff Pachall, Tonya Carey, Teressa Crause, Jason & Ashley Wion, Stevie & Karley Wion, Jessie & Adam Brewer; 32 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Funeral service 2:00 PM Monday at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Dan Scalf officiating.  Interment Sugar Grove Cemetery, Pleasant Hill.  Visitation 12 Noon until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio Hospice of Miami County.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
