Sending condolences to Don's family and both Covington Fire and EMS departments. It was a privilege "running squad" on shift with Don for several yrs at Covington Rescue. I talked to Don when I was back in Ohio not long ago and before his health started failing, so it seems like a bit of a shock that he is gone. He was extremely dedicated to the community and I have the utmost respect for his more than 40 yrs of public service to Covington. Although I work in EMS in another state, I still call Covington Fire and EMS my home and truly miss all of the people on the departments. Again, sincere condolences, Don, you are greatly missed by all who knew and worked with you. Rest easy my friend and Godspeed.

Marilyn & Family,
We just heard the sad news of Don’s passing. Few words will ease the loss of a life partner, father, grandfather, sibling, and dear friend. We hope you can take comfort in the memories of good times spent with Don, who was a very generous and skilled person. Across the miles from NC to Covington, we will be thinking of you during the events of the next few days. Sending our love and friendship, Connie & Pat

Marilyn and family, We just heard the very sad news of Don's passing and wanted to express our sympathy to you all in this time of grief. There are few words that will help fill the void you are feeling now - loss of life partner, father, grandfather, sibling, dear friend. But as the reality of Don's absence sinks in, we hope you can take comfort in the warm and loving relationships you shared and in memoires of many good times you had with this skilled and generous man. Across the miles from NC to Covington, we will be thinking of you during the events of the next few days,. With love, Connie & Pat

Good words, Sharon. Hearing about Don's passing is a bit of a shock to me as the last time I was back there and saw all you guys, he was the same old Don, working on his ambulance. Please give my condolences to all, I wish I could be back there for the funeral. Tell everyone hi for me. Hope to visit you all on another meeting night soon :)

My sincere sympathy to Don's family and friends. It seemed to me all the years I lived in Covington, whenever there was any community event, Don was always there giving his time and expertise to make it a success. What a great loss to those that loved and knew him and to the town. My prayers for all of you during this sad time. Rest in peace, Don. You will be missed.

Sending warm sympathy hugs to Dons family and friends. He was a great man with so much compassion for people. He was my neighbor for 12 years when I lived in Ohio. May he fly with the angels and rest in peace now. Bless you all.
