George Joseph Wise
December 19, 1943 ~ August 15, 2017 (age 73) 73 Years OldGeorge Joseph Wise, age 73 of Covington, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Piqua Manor. He was born in Racine, Wisconsin on December 19, 1943 to the (late) Joseph & Kay (Brucker) Wise; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1962; a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict; retired from Crane Pump, Piqua; a member of Piqua American Legion; a charter member of the Covington Eagles Aerie #3998; F & AM of Franklin Lodge #14, Troy and was a Past Master; member of the Antioch Shriners Club; a member of Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati; member of the York Rite, Cincinnati; in the past enjoyed bowling and golf; an avid fan of fishing, the Green Bay Packers, and Chicago Cubs. Preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Bill Stanton; and brother, Roger “Buck” Wise. George Joseph is survived by his wife of 50 years, Melody Ann (Huffman) Wise; two sons, William & wife, Jenny Wise of Pleasant Hill, George T. Wise of Morrow, OH; daughter, Melissa & husband, Jeff Macy of Conover; eight grandchildren, Madison Wise, Zane Wise, Ryan Wise, Anna Rose Wise, Allison Mae Wise, Emma & husband, Erik Austin, Sydney & husband, “D.J.” Jennings, and Sarah Macy; and was expecting the birth of his first great-grandchild, Raelynn Jennings; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann & Ed Elliott, Sally Harbin, Barbara & Jim Garrity, all of Piqua; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Nancy Dunn, Orville “Bud” & Eva Huffman, Patricia & Wendell Stephan, Tom & Renie Huffman, Doug Huffman, Deanne Brumbaugh, Connie & Jerry Wagner, Candy & Garry Leapley, Larry & Melodie Huffman, and Jackie Kinnison; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11:00 AM Saturday at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor John Shelton officiating. Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington. Visitation 5-8 PM Friday at the funeral home, with Masonic Memorial Service at 7:00 PM Friday followed by a Scottish Rite Ring Ceremony.
