Robert D. "Bob" Sargent, age 88 of Greenville, formerly of Bradford, passed away Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville.  Bob was born in Bloomer on August 25, 1927 to the (late) Roy H. & Ferhn (Oda) Sargent; was a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1946; was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War; retired from (Pennsylvania) Conrail Railroad with 33 years of service; a farmer; member of the Harris Creek Church of the Brethren; a 60 year award recipient of the F & AM Lodge of Ohio Lodge  #0477, Gettysburg; longtime trustee for Harris Creek Cemetery; member of the American Legion Post #0140 for 32 years, Greenville; and an avid woodworker.  Preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 52 years, Betty J. Sargent in 2005; three brothers, Donald Sargent, Paul Sargent, & Doyle Sargent; and sister, Janice Eichelberger.  Bob is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark & Deb Sargent of Bradford; daughter, Gloria Sargent of Greenville; two grandchildren, Valerie Sargent Eckert of Eaton, Sarah & Darin Lunsford of Tipp City; five great-grandchildren, Addison Sargent Eckert, Kellen Sargent Eckert, Aly Lunsford, Kate Lunsford, & Luke Lunsford; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.  Funeral service 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Harris Creek Church of the Brethren with Pastor Phillip Dell officiating.  Interment Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford.  The family will receive friends 10:00 A.M.
