James "Jim" M. McMaken

James “Jim” M. McMaken, age 81 of Covington, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at his home.  Jim was born in Arcanum on September 22, 1936 to the (late) Tracy & Eunice Faye (Furman) McMaken; retired from RK Hydro/Vac with 18 years of service; a member of the Covington Eagles Aerie #3998; loved golfing, woodworking where he made many things; he built two experimental airplanes; loved guns – shooting and hunting; and was an avid NASCAR fan.  Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tom McMaken; and three sisters, Jean Bridges, Patricia Anderson, and Jewell Puterbaugh.  Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years, Polly Anna (King) McMaken; children, Mark McMaken of Cleveland, Sheila & Nick Oberer of Jonesboro, GA, Steve & Dana Puterbaugh of New Madison, David McMaken of Columbus, OH, Ken & Linda McMaken of Oregonia, OH, Cheryl & Mike King of Pleasant Hill, Linda & Tracy Lyons of Covington; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; half-brother, Rich & Pat McMaken of Covington; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and great neighbors.  Services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
