Robert T. “Bob” Mitchell Sr, age 78 of Bradford, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine. Bob was born in Bradford on December 26, 1939; was an U.S. Army veteran; retired from GM/Inland with 31 years of service; a new owner of a Harley Davidson; avid NASCAR Racing Fan – Dale Earnhardt “3”; enjoyed bowling with his family at Covington Bowl; loved working on his Cushman Scooters, lawnmowers that he would repair and sell; enjoyed painting cars, gardening, camping, fishing, boating, carpentry, playing cards and rebuilding golf carts; he was a “Master Tinkerer” – always on the go – very competitive in everything he did. Preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Helen (Hayslett) & Ivan Crowell and three half sisters, Rozella Crowell, Barb Crowell, and infant, Diane Crowell. Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn S. (McGlinch) Mitchell; three children, Robert T. Jr & Patti Mitchell of Bradford, Joyce Hocker & Mike Monnin of Ft. Loramie, Gary Mitchell of Bradford; grandchildren, Christopher Mitchell & fiancée, Jessica Lutz, Nicholas & Lorrene Mitchell, Nathan & Felicia Mitchell, Jacqua & Matt Rietschlin, Julia & Michael Paulus, Marissa Vencill & Billy Allen, Brandon Mitchell, Dylan Mitchell, Chelsi & Josh Schultz, Chad & Kaitlin Brown; 18 great-grandchildren; two half brothers, Delmar Crowell & Mike Crowell; half sister, Donna Crowell; other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11:00 AM Wednesday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor John Shelton officiating. Interment Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford with Military Honors by Veteran Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation 5-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
