Barbara A. Magee, age 91 of Covington, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville. Barbara was born in Darke County on December 19, 1932 to the (late) Oscar & Myrtle (Oswalt) Small; graduate of Franklin Monroe High School; enjoyed watching birds; loved to work in her vegetable and flower gardens; enjoyed making flower arrangements; and loved playing the piano and would play the grand piano at the BRC. Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 68 years, James “Jim” Lee Magee in 2020; son, Leroy James Magee; and her brother, Ronald Small. Barbara is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney & Tricia Magee of Delta Junction, Alaska; Jerry & Barbara “Bobbie” Magee of Covington, & Kenneth Magee of Beavercreek; daughter-in-law, Patricia Magee of Piqua; four grandchildren, Joshua & wife, Lauri Magee, Shannon & wife, Heather Magee, Misty M. Magee and Tommy; six great-grandchildren, Drenen, Kirian, Raina, Daniel, Micah, Nano, Baylon, Hannabelle, & Greyson; brother and sister-in-law, Jim & Marie Small of Beavercreek; two sisters, Beverly Rismiller of Bradford and Deloris Riegle of Greenville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
