Calvin Eugene Sell, age 86 of Bradford, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the Ascension St. Vincent Randolph County Hospital, Winchester, IN. Calvin was born in Troy on February 25, 1934 to the (late) Creele & Susie (Lavy) Sell; was a U.S. Army Veteran; retired from Fram in Greenville with 40 years of service; a member of the Pleasant View Missionary Church; loved to watch old westerns; enjoyed playing the guitar and mandolin and listening to blue grass music; also enjoyed puzzle books and paint by number. Preceded in death by his parents; wife of 58 years, Sharon Lee (Ketrow) Sell in 2018; brother, Lester Sell; and two sisters, Martha Emerick and Edith Howell. Calvin is survived by his children and their spouses, Gary Sell of Wilmington, OH, David & Joanne Sell of Wilmington, OH, Connie & Richard Smith of Enterprise, AL, Linda & Eike Burt of Piqua; four grandchildren, Ben Smith, Zach Smith, Matthew Sell & Ashleigh Sell; three brothers, Lee Sell of Modesto, CA, Charles Sell of Woodington, OH, Glen & wife, Darlene Sell of Bradford; sister, Ruby Wagner of Greenville; foster brother, William Edward & Robin Hodge of New York; foster sister, Geraldine “Gerry” Hodge of Greenville; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 3:00 PM Monday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Sean Martin officiating. Interment Oakland Cemetery, Bradford with Military Honors provided by the Veteran Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation 1:00 PM Monday until time of service at the funeral home.
