Douglas Craig Perkins

Douglas Craig Perkins, age 75, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at his home in Umatilla, FL. Doug was born on September 22, 1946, in Piqua, OH to the (late) Rutha and Charles Perkins and grew up in Bradford, OH.  After attending Bradford High School, he served in the United States Navy (1963-67) in military communications with a top-secret clearance and remained a proud veteran throughout his life. After leaving the Navy, Doug underwent training in industrial electronics at RETS College, Centerville, OH (1973-74) and then completed journeyman training in electronics at the Dayton Institute of Technology (Dayton, OH, 1974-75).  He worked at Delphi-Harrison Thermal Systems/General Motors (Moraine, OH) for 35 years in electronic dimensional control and then served as a Union Representative before retiring in 2002.  He is survived by his son, Douglas J (DJ) Perkins and daughter-in-law, Ping of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughter, Natalia Perkins of Cleveland, OH; his significant other, Sandra Salyers of Umatilla, FL; his brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Jane Perkins of Bradford, OH; brother and sister-in-law, Daryl and Sherri Perkins of Clifton Park, NY; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Teresa Perkins of Lucama, NC; nieces, nephews, other family, and many wonderful friends.     

Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 PM Monday, September 26th at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford.  Interment at Harris Creek Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Veteran Elite Tribute Squad.  Gathering of Family and Friends will be 2-5 PM Sunday, September 25th at the funeral home. Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
