Gary L. Rhoades

Gary L. Rhoades, age 78, of Covington passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on January 1, 1940 in Covington to the late Herbert Levi and Jane (Hickman) Rhoades. 

Gary is survived by his wife of 26 years: Shirley Ann (Cox) Rhoades; son and daughter-in-law: Rick and Deanne Rhoades of Bradford; stepson: Brian Shepard of Grandview; stepdaughter: Tamera McIntyre of Powell; brother and sister-in-law: Denny and Cathy Rhoades of Piqua; grandchildren: Dustin Rhoades and Darin Rhoades both of Covington and Cassady McIntyre of Powell; niece: Maria (Jim) Hicks; nephew: Doug Kihm; his super dog: Clayton and many extended family members and friends.  In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by nephew: Daniel Kihm.

Gary enjoyed the Covington Eagles and was great lover of animals, the outdoors, and fishing and was an outstanding wood carver.  He was retired from Hobart Brothers after 39 years of service.

Services will be held 10:00AM Friday, July 13, 2018 at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Nick Church officiating.  Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, Covington.  Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00PM Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, PO Box 502, Troy, OH 45373.
