Gene M Kissinger

Gene M. Kissinger, age 78, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer.  He was born February 9, 1943 in Greenville, OH to the late Max and Alice (Brandt) Kissinger; a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1961; a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard; worked for many years at Hobart Brothers and Hobart Cabinet in Troy; a member of the American Legion, Post #184, Piqua; loved guns, cars, watching old black and white movies, spending time with his family, and his 3 cats, Squeaky, Misty and Rascal.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Kissinger; and brother-in-law, Barry Kimmel.

Gene is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Carol (Reeder) Kissinger; son, Terry Kissinger and his girlfriend, Lori Pease of Troy; daughter, Melissa Haas and her fiancé, Andy Spillman of Greenville; grandchildren, Ashley (Steven) Ducket of Troy, Vincent Kissinger of Dayton and D.J. Kissinger of KY; great granddaughter, Emma Ducket; brothers, Steve (Bonnie) Kissinger of Piqua and Mike Kissinger of Marion; sister, Donna Kimmel of Versailles; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Friday at 10am at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor John Shelton officiating.  Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad of Piqua.  Visitation will be held Thursday 5-8pm at the funeral home.  Giving to churches and charities was important to Gene and he made the request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the church or charity of your choice.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
