Janet M. Gilbert, age 84 of Covington, passed away Monday, April 18, 2022. Janet was born in Covington on May 11, 1937 to the (late) Earl & Martha (Goings) Eichelberger. Preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Alfred Lee “Red” Weaver; second husband, Rufus Gilbert; sister, Roberta Fricke; and three brothers, Thomas, Robert and Ronald Eichelberger. Janet is survived by her children, Twila (Scott) Harper of Kimmell, IN, Mauriena (Daniel) Cain of Covington and Wade Weaver of Covington; five grandchildren, Dacey Lamme & Chase McNall, Tristin (Steve) Hobart, John (Kristin) Harper, Aubrye Cain & David Zimmerman and Cassidy (Trenton) Wood; six great-grandchildren, Adalie, Aiden, and Ava Harper, Brodie and Kaida McNall, and Henry Zimmerman; sister, Martha Rhoades of Covington; sister-in-law, Phyllis Eichelberger of Sidney; nieces and nephews. Janet was a life member of the Covington Eagles Aerie #3998, Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Covington V.F.W. Post #4235, Ladies Auxiliary. She had a love of animals, enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
