Judy Lee Kallen

Judy Lee Kallen, age 85 of Covington, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Koester Pavilion, Troy.  Judy was born in Covington on April 21, 1938 to the (late) Herbert & Jessie (Zimmerman) Laughman; a graduate of Covington High School, attended three years of college at Moody Bible Institute, where she met her husband, Bill; was Office Manager for many years at Jacobs, Russ, Thomas Anesthesia Group; a member of Friendship Grace Brethren Church, Covington; and she was a friend to many people.  Preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, William “Bill” Henry Kallen in 2013; and brother, John Herbert Laughman.  Judy is survived by her children, Daniel Kallen of Chicago, IL, Darin & wife, Marcia Kallen of Troy, Delanie Kallen of Orlando, FL, Derrick “Rick” & wife, Anne Kallen of Piqua; six grandchildren, Justin Knight, Kailey Kallen, Jordan & husband, Miguel Ruiz, Nathan Kallen, Kara Kallen & Lauren Kallen; sister, Shirley Ryder of Pleasant Hill; brother and sister-in-law, Paul & Sherry Laughman of Troy; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  Funeral Service 12 Noon Wednesday at the Friendship Grace Brethren Church, 5850 St. Rt. 41, Covington with Pastor Roy Glass officiating.  Visitation 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
