Karen Sue Rhoades, age 76 of Covington, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at her home. Karen was born in Greenville on May 5, 1945 to the (late) Glenn & Eva (Smithton) Shepherd; a graduate of Greenville High School, Class of 1963; a graduate of Edison Community College in 1986; had previously worked at Cooper Foods, Murphy’s in Greenville, and Roger’s Deli Mart in Greenville; also with her husband, Richard, they had worked for Miami County Children Services and were team truck drivers for Watkins Trucking; liked to crochet and loved the Hallmark Channel. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Grant Rhoades in 1995 and son, David Rhoades in 2018. Karen is survived by her half-sister, Janet Lampert of Oak Ridge, TN; special friends, Sheila Patton of Covington, Dottie Lingle of Versailles, and Tammy Monnin; other relatives and friends.
