Larry “Mike” McGraw, age 71 of Covington, died Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born July 13, 1947 in Troy, to the late Walter R & Theresa B (Tucker) McGraw Sr; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1966; retired from Quality Forms in Piqua, where he worked for 45 years; a member of the NRA & Ducks Unlimited; enjoyed hunting, fishing, feeding birds & squirrels, canoeing, kayaking, bowling & was an advocate for & lover of animals; participated in the Miami County River Sweep several years; & enjoyed taking his ’57 Mercury to car shows.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Walter R McGraw Jr; infant brother, Patrick McGraw; brothers-in-law, Richard Snider, Timothy Greenbaum & James Kerns; nephew, Zachary Greenbaum; & his 4-legged children, Trouble, Cindy, Lady & Hershey.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Rebecca “Becky” McGraw; sisters, Connie Snider & Carol Meiring, both of Sidney; mother-in-law, Lois Ryan of Piqua; sister-in-law, Sandra Kerns of Piqua; brother-in-law, Duane (Maureen) Greenbaum of Charleston, SC; 7 nieces & nephews, Michael (Kelley) McGraw of New Weston, Shawn Meiring of Covington, Sarina Swarts of Troy, Eric Meiring of Piqua, Scott (Tammy) Alexander of Troy, Joshua Greenbaum & Kyle Greenbaum, both of Charleston, SC; 4 great nieces & nephews, Mercy & Margaux Swarts & Matthew & Christian Alexander; & his 4 legged children, his dog, Babe & his many cats.
Funeral Service to be held Saturday, January 19 at 11am at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Kevin Boleen officiating. Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, January 18, 4-8pm and again on Saturday from 10am until time of service.
