Loretta Faye Weider, 90, passed away Thursday, August 5th, 2021, at her home in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida due to complications related to colon cancer.
She is survived by her spouse, Richard Weider; sons, Craig and wife, Ellie and Brian and wife, Julia; grandchildren, Evan, Nick and Kirstin; great-grandchildren, Trent, Desman and Allison; her big brother, Harold Marker and wife, Barbara and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Charlotte Porter and Ruby Christian; brother, Herman Marker; and grandson, Kurt Weider.
Loretta was born in Newberry Township, Ohio to Dan and Pauline (Petersime) Marker in 1931. She graduated from Bradford High School in 1949 and the University of Dayton in 1964 with a degree in education. She was a beloved teacher at Bethel Local Schools as well as Indian Lake School District.
Gardening remained a passion of hers throughout life while her pride and joy belonged to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Long known for her positive outlook, she was often heard offering her mantra of life – “Count Your Blessings”. She will be dearly missed by many!
Graveside Service and Interment to be held August 17, 2021 at 10:30 AM at the Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington, OH with Pastor Jim Ellison officiating. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Kurt Daniel Weider Charitable Foundation #1040168 at Fidelity Investments.
