Mary Ann (Burket) Abney

Mary Ann Abney, age 86, lifetime resident of Bradford, died Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Heartland of Piqua.  Mary was born March 19, 1932 in Bradford to the late Dorothy Burket; a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1951; & a member of the First Baptist Church of Bradford.

Preceded in death by her mother; grandparents, Nathaniel & Nellie Burket; husband, Vernon Abney; 3 grandchildren, Chasity Nicole Abney, Kristopher Ryan Metzger & Tyler Collins Jr; & half-sister, Rosalie Snider.

Mary is survived by 6 children, Jerry (Cathe) Folkerth of West Carrollton, Debra (Dave) Kauffman of Greenville, Kimberly (Janet) Folkerth of Yorkshire, Donna Mills (Jeff Miller) of Bradford, David (Tammi) Abney of Bradford & Michael (Jeanette) Abney of Bradford; 14 grandchildren, Ashley (Andy) Norman, Casey (Tasha) Kauffman, Corey (Amanda) Kauffman, Matthew (Krista) Folkerth, Carla (Michael) Leiss, Katherine (Tyler) Collins, Beth (Kevin) Mertz, Jason (Jamie) Mills, Brad (Stephanie) Mills, Crystal (Dusty) Yingst, Kristopher (Chelsea) Abney, Michael (Morgan) Abney, Chelsea Abney & Rodney Abney; 36 great grandchildren; & special friends, Dewey Herron, Darla Honeyman, Carol Green, Linda Gibson, Helen Puterbaugh & many more.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11 am at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Louis Reindel officiating.  Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Ft. Jefferson.  Visitation will be held Wednesday 6-8 pm at the funeral home.  If desired, contributions may be made to Bradford Fire & Rescue.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
