Patrick "Pat" Andrew Taxis

Patrick “Pat” Andrew Taxis, age 64 of Covington passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at his home.  Pat was born in Troy on April 28, 1959 to Thomas & Joanne (Cain) Taxis; a graduate of Newton High School, Class of 1977; retired from Local #190, Ann Arbor, MI; currently employed as Pipe Welder with Local #798, Tulsa, OK; in his younger years he enjoyed going out trapping with his dog, Lassie; enjoyed fishing; loved restoring old cars, a “muscle car enthusiasts; collector of antique farm equipment; avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Green Bay Packers; collector of Indian artifacts; loved his cats; and was a “gentleman farmer.”  Preceded in death by his father, Thomas Taxis; his son, Shawn Taxis, both in 2022.  Pat is survived by his mother, Joanne Taxis of Conover; two children, Amy & John Bubeck of Covington, Josh Taxis of Troy; seven grandchildren, Ryan Evans, Kane Bubeck, Hailie-Jo Taxis, Lillie Taxis, Shawn Taxis Jr., Sam Zank and Simon Zank; daughter-in-law, Jessica Taxis of Troy; girlfriend of 18 years, Debbi Harkins and her children; sister and brother-in-law, Regina & Jon Duff of Fletcher; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and his cats.  Visitation 10-12 Noon Saturday at the Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with a procession to follow going for a Graveside Service at Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
