Phyllis Ann Thompson, age 66 of Covington, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Ohio Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit. Phyllis was born on November 2, 1954 to the (late) Phillip Bernard & Dora Kay (Smith) Sheridan; attended Newton High School; a member of Covington Eagles Aerie #3998; enjoyed gardening; and loved watching crime shows. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Sheridan; and sister, Mary Lyman. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 49 years, A. John Thompson; children, Annie (Chris) Shilt, John William Thompson (Carrie McKibben), Jennifer Johnson, all of Covington; five grandchildren, Zach Shilt (Kelsey) of Troy, Jessica Shilt of Centerville, Gage Weyant of TN, Dalton Sherard of Celina, & Emalyn Johnson of Covington; two brothers, Paul Frederick Mikels of Anchorage, AK, Phillip Sheridan (Brenda) of Pleasant Hill; other relatives and friends. Public Graveside Service 11:00 AM Wednesday at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio Hospice of Miami County or American Cancer Society.
