Roger D. McAvoy, age 69, of Jackson Center, OH, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. Roger was born in Landville, WV on July 5, 1951, to the (late) Gorrel Charles & Hazel (Williamson) McAvoy; a graduate of Cardington High School; retired with 40 years of service from Whirlpool; co-owner and operator of M&M Lights; a member of GWRRA; he enjoyed embroidery, CAD cutting, riding his Goldwing and going to motorcycle rallies. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Wade McAvoy; and brothers, Jerry McAvoy and Roy McAvoy. Roger is survived by his wife, Sussie McAvoy; children, Wayne (Tabitha) McAvoy of Howard, OH, April (Ricky) McKinney of TX; Chance (Kristi) Barnhart of Covington, Eli (Meggan) Barnhart of Troy; 15 grandchildren, Courtney, Kira, Leah, Gabe, Nick, Colin, Kailynn, Chance Jr, Sarah, Dylan, Jayden, Jesse, Jarod, Jason, & Katlynn; six great-grandchildren, Bristol, Jaron, Charlotte, Baylor, Colt, & Jackson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary (Patty) McAvoy of Cardington, OH, Dana (Sheryl) McAvoy of AZ; sister-in-law, Dottie McAvoy of Mt. Gilead, OH; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Private Services for family.
