Thomas "Tom" Eugene Miller

Thomas Eugene “Tom” Miller, age 88, of Piqua, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, Ohio. He was born May 31, 1930, and was the the oldest of two, Tom and his sister Janice Meyer (Miller) were raised in Covington, Ohio by the late Carl John & Sarah Josephine (Hecker) Miller; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1948; he was active in athletics which included holding a Track State Record at Covington High School; he was a U.S.Navy Veteran, serving on the Valley Forge during the Korean War; he retired from AOSmith where he worked in tool & die repair for 27 years; a lifetime Mason; a lifetime member of the VFW Post #4235, Covington; & an avid bowler.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lois Ann (Trimpe) Miller; & infant brother, Jimmy Miller.

Tom is survived by his 4 children, John Brumbaugh of Troy, Carl (Amanda) Miller of New Lebanon, Brenda (Gregory) Walters of West Milton & Fred (Cathy) Miller of West Milton; 11 grandchildren, Jamie Neusendorfer, Autumn (Blake) Budding, Steven Miller, Jenny (Chad) Moseley, Matthew (Emilia Rose) Walters, Teresa (Joe) Williams, Isaiah Miller, Christopher Miller, Austin Watters, Dalton Meyer & Samantha Watters; 8 great-grandchildren, Gabe, Elaina, Maddie, Jayla, Stevie, Annabelle, Lyla & Isaac; sister, Janice (Joe) Meyer of Covington; & other relatives & friends.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 4 at 12 noon at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home.  Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington with Military Honors provided by VETS.  Visitation will be held Friday 10 am until time of service.  If desired, contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or Piqua Meals on Wheels.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com
