Gary Lee Kesler, age 66 of Covington, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his home.  Gary was born in Piqua on April 21, 1950 to the (late) Wilbur and Nancy (Clutts) Kesler; attended Bradford schools; was an U.S. Army Veteran at 17 stationed in Korea and Vietnam; worked at Copperweld for 30 years, Clopay eight years before retiring; was an auctioneer for 34 years; was a member of VFW Post #4235, Covington, a member of the Covington Eagles Aerie #3998; life member of the AMVETS Post #66, Covington;  and had been active with the Tri Village Memorial Color Guard.  Preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and one sister, John, Robert, Donald, Morice, Harold, and Mary Catherine.  Gary is survived by his wife of 45 years, Vonda (Earick) Kesler; his children, Gary V. (Casey) Kesler of Centerville, Michael (Jennifer) Kesler of Swanton, OH, Carolyn (Ty) Owens of Covington; nine grandchildren, Mason, Chase, Morgan, Gracie, Logan, Rheannah, Beau, Tyler, Carter; brothers and sisters, Helen Swartz of Piqua, Shirley North of Covington, Betty (Willard) Cole of Covington, Dorothy Fogt of Sidney, Mildred Fogt of Columbus, Pearline (L.D.) Worley of Somerset, KY, Charles (Lora) Kessler of Bradford, Marvin (Debra) Kesler of Piqua, Debbie (John) Lee of Covington; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry (Jeanne) Earick of Covington, John (Susan) Earick of Wichita, KS, Sharon (James) Lee of Tipp City; many nieces and nephews, aunts, and uncles.  Celebration of Life Service 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Bob Akins officiating, followed by Military Honors provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad.  The family will receive friends 10:00 A.M. Wednesday until time of service.  If desired, donations may be made to the Covington Fire and Rescue Department, Hospice of Miami County, or The Ohio State University Foundation, Wexner Medical Center, 1480 West Lane Avenue, Columbus, OH 43221.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
