Linda E. Rench, age 76, lifetime resident of Covington, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Heartland of Piqua.  She was born September 12, 1940 in Piqua to the late Ned & Edith (Nies) Weldy; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1959; retired from Covington Elementary School where she worked as a secretary for 20 years; co-owner of Ft. Rowdy Café, Covington; also worked at Arens Corp., Hobart Manufacturing, Troy & Inland Homes, Piqua; a member & past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Sharon Chapter, West Milton; a past member of the Piqua Players; & she loved to sing.

Preceded in death by her parents; & brother, Michael Weldy.  Linda is survived by her husband of almost 56 years, James Elbert “Jim” Rench; 2 sons, James A. (Shanda) Rench of Covington & Chris (Tammy) Rench of Piqua; 4 grandsons, Dakota, Ashby, Avery, & Ayden Rench; brother, William (Pam) Weldy of Piqua; & other relatives & friends.

Funeral Service will be held Monday at 2 pm at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Charlie Wilkins officiating.  Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington.  The family will receive friends Sunday 2-6 pm at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association Miami Valley,
